2021-22 Protocols for UAB Athletics Events

UAB Athletics events will follow all state and local ordinances related to COVID-19 safety protocols for the 2021-22 season.

UAB Football at Protective Stadium

UAB requires wearing a mask indoors — regardless of vaccine status — unless actively eating or drinking and encourages masks during outdoor events, alongside regular handwashing.

UAB Basketball at Bartow Arena

UAB requires wearing a mask indoors — regardless of vaccine status — unless actively eating or drinking and encourages masks during outdoor events, alongside regular handwashing.

UAB Volleyball at Bartow Arena
Due to the recent surge of COVID-19 and updated CDC guidance, UAB will require face masks indoors on campus – regardless of vaccine status – effective Thursday, July 29. Individuals can briefly unmask while actively eating or drinking.
